You are invited to attend the upcoming monthly HIMSS NI Task Force Series Presentation on The ABC’s of TIGER & the VLE.This presentation will provide an overview of TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) and the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) – a dynamic and unique one-stop education portal for academic professionals, students, adult learners, and clinical educators. We’ll provide an overview of the TIGER community, give a VLE demonstration, and talk about our newest offerings. Most importantly, you will walk away with information on how you can engage in this global initiative focused on education reform and international community development. |OJNI Summer Edition Released
The Online Journal of Nursing Informatics (OJNI) Spring Edition, Volume 20, Number 2 has been released today! The OJNI draws to nursing informatics in practice, education, leadership, and research. This journal is an international, peer reviewed publication released three times a year and supports all functional areas of nursing informatics. HIMSS is currently looking for new submissions to be featured in future OJNI editions as well as peer reviewers. |Weekend Immersion in Nursing Informatics (WINI) on August 19-20 in Charlotte, NC
WINI is for anyone interested in life-long learning about healthcare informatics and nursing informatics. It is specifically targeted for experienced nurses prepping for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or new informatics nurses gaining knowledge and skills expected in the Nursing Informatics role. The workshop provides an opportunity to prepare for the ANCC Nursing Informatics Certification Exam, including 18 CE Credits for nursing education as well as CPHIMSS and CAHIMSS CE credits.
