How do you see interoperability contributing to a greater organizational strategy?
In a recent HIMSS blog post, HIMSS Executive Vice President Carla Smith commented on the importance of interoperability in coordinated patient care: “Establishing interoperability in clinical/business information systems, consumer-oriented devices, and patient care devices is so important. Why? Because without the right information on the right patient at the right time, making the right decision becomes more difficult.”
