ICD-10 Implementation
On Wednesday, February 11th the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health held a hearing on “Examining ICD-10 Implementation.”


Joint Policy and Standards Committee Meeting Focuses on Interoperability Roadmap
The Interoperability Roadmap discussion was led by Erica Galvez, the Office of the National Coordinator’s (ONC’s) Interoperability Portfolio Manager.

ONC and CMS Present Latest Meaningful Use Program Attestation Numbers
According to the data, 9 in 10 eligible hospitals had attested to meaningful use through December.  Of those that attested between 2011– 2013, more than 90% returned to the Incentive Program in subsequent years. 

Government Accountability Office (GAO) released its biennial Update
In this report it was noted that GAO added two additional high risk areas which brings the total to 32 across the federal government. 


Arkansas Senate Tackles Health IT
The Arkansas State Legislature convened session on January 12 and after just one month they are already tacking health IT measures to further healthcare in the state. Three health IT bills are outlined below.
