HIMSS Emerging Professionals Poster Presentation Submission for HIMSS14
HIMSS invites you to submit a proposal to present a poster session at the 2014 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Orlando. The conference will be held Feb. 23-27, 2014. JHIM Seeks Abstracts on Patient Engagement
The Journal of Healthcare Information Management (JHIM), the quarterly, digital publication of HIMSS, has opened the call for abstracts for its Winter 2014 issue on patient engagement. JHIM is actively seeking case studies, literature reviews and analysis on how health information technology can be used to facilitate better patient care, improve communication between patient and provider, and empower patients to become advocates for their own health. If interested, send a 250-word abstract summarizing the scope of the proposed article. Please include a working headline and contact information for all potential authors. The deadline is July 15. HIMSS Accountable Care Task Force Seeks Members
The HIMSS Accountable Care Task Force is accepting members for this new Task Force. The Task Force will be focused on the adoption and use of Health Information Technology for Accountable Care organizations and will be co-chaired by Paul Oates, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, IT Architecture, Cigna and Lee Lemelson, RPh, System Vice President, Clinical Applications, Banner Health. The Task Force will work to provide valuable tools and resources to the industry, specifically, use cases and best practices for Accountable Care Organizations. The meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, 1 pm-2 pm (ET).
