NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: Accountable Care Analytics—Developing a Trusted 360 Degree View of the Patient
In the traditional fee-for-service reimbursement system, health information is rarely shared across the continuum of care or between disparate healthcare settings. Data that is shared can be lost, late, incomplete, or inaccurate, resulting in an imperfect picture of a patient’s condition, medical history, and prior treatment. As a result, providers may deliver inappropriate care, order redundant tests, prescribe contraindicative medications, or give the patient contrasting follow-up care recommendations. These types of medical errors can drain a health provider’s resources, have an adverse impact on patient experience, or cause serious harm to the patient.  This white paper from Informatica explores the need for comprehensive enterprise information management and analytic capabilities to support these initiatives in reducing costs and improving the quality of care.

NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: Finding Balance in Medical Workstations
In the quest to find technological solutions that lead to better efficiency of care, hospitals often find themselves weighing the differences between types of workstations, specifically mobile carts /workstations on wheels (WOWs), and wall mounted cabinets and arms. While mobile carts traditionally dominated the point of care workspace with 87 percent of facilities supplying clinicians with mobile carts to provide support care latest trends may suggest a shifting away from carts and toward wall mounted workstations.

NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: Coordinated Care—Assembling Patient Information that Matters
Delivering coordinated care will require a more comprehensive view of what’s happening with each patient than is available in the local Electronic Health Record (EHR). To aid in strategy and planning to tap additional, external sources of information, this white paper looks at the likely sources, the information they can contribute, and the ease with which the information can be put to work.

NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: The Role of IT in Effectively Managing Population Health
Population health management (PHM) has become the focus of patient-centered medical homes, accountable care organizations (ACOs), and healthcare systems that are concerned about impending changes in reimbursement. Because PHM entails continuous care of the entire patient population, it requires health IT solutions that automate routine tasks, facilitate communications, and maximize the effectiveness of care teams.
