Managing the Exponential Leap in Healthcare Data Growth: Achieving Compliance and Operational Efficiency
Healthcare data is growing exponentially, largely as a result of the meaningful use of health IT—EHRs in particular. As data grows, so does the need for storing, managing, accessing and protecting these critical assets. To gain insight into the complex challenges of data and information management in healthcare, HIMSS Media surveyed 416 healthcare professionals in December 2012 and January 2013. This white paper outlines these survey results, and also looks at the applications and business needs that are driving healthcare providers’ data growth, and the areas within their organizations that will receive infrastructure investments in 2013.

From Evidence to Insight: Achieving Outcomes That Matter
The global healthcare industry is at a pivotal point to transform, reinvent and realign to a more vital and evolving new model. There is broad recognition that cost increases are unsustainable, yet results remain inadequate. Buyers of care, including governments, employers and individual consumers, are demanding better performance in both quality and outcomes. Yet the challenge cannot be met by continuing attempts to extract greater productivity from the industry's existing structure.

Big Data in Healthcare: Tackling Challenges, Pursuing Opportunities
The concept of big data has been around for decades, but it has become a hot topic in the healthcare industry in the last year.  While the deluge of data may seem overwhelming, the promise of what can be done with the data is real. Recent reports estimates that big data can save up to $450 billion in reduced healthcare spending.  Download the white paper today to explore how big data setting the stage for clinical analytics and how you can assess the future impact of big data to come out ahead of the market in actualizing business and clinical intelligence.

NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: How to Leverage Your Wi-Fi Infrastructure for Better Infant Protection–5 Practical Steps
Electronic infant protection systems have, to date, been department-level solutions. A new generation of Wi-Fi technology, however, expands infant protection hospital-wide, presenting new opportunities. This Stanley Healthcare white paper reviews the steps required for healthcare IT professionals to select, design and deploy a Wi-Fi Infant Protection solution, in cooperation with clinical and security peers.

NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: Unified Approach to Sharing All Images and Records to Streamline Continuity of Care and Achieve Meaningful Use
Continuity of care, especially for patients that are transferred between organizations, suffers from the lack of any organized, efficient methodology of collecting and forwarding the required records and diagnostic images required for treatment. Healthcare organizations have been struggling with these problems for many years, and despite all of the digital technology and social media that connects us as individuals, our healthcare system remains broken. Rather than disparate and mostly unconnected solutions for transferring records and sharing images both inside and outside the organization, we desperately need a single, unified solution that will assure timely arrival of records and images to the caregivers that are responsible for the patient’s treatment. Read this white paper from eHealth Technologies to learn more.

NEW! Corporate Member White Paper: How a Business Intelligence Roadmap Saves Hospital and Health System Executives Time, Money, and Aggravation
More hospitals and health systems are recognizing that enterprise-wide business intelligence can put them in a stronger position to respond to the challenges presented by today’s world of pay-for-performance, Accountable Care Organizations, and Meaningful Use. Business intelligence refers to a hospital or health system’s ability to gather, aggregate, and analyze data from across the entire enterprise in a way that makes administrative, financial, clinical, and research information accessible to decision makers when and how they need it. Learn more in this white paper from Health Care DataWorks.
