HIMSS Submits Comments on ONC’s Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap
In an April 3 letter to the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), HIMSS submitted its final comments in response to ONC’s Connecting Health Care for the Nation: A Shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap. In its comments, HIMSS is recommending ONC focus on six key ideas.

Interoperability Workgroup Partners with HIMSS & IHE USA at HIMSS15
Building on its current effort to connect EHRs to HIEs, the EHR I HIE Interoperability Workgroup (IWG) has formed a strategic relationship with HIMSS and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) USA to streamline the process for achieving connectivity between EHR and HIE systems. The new program will be offered virtually and on-site at the HIMSS Innovation Center in Cleveland. At HIMSS15, catch an educational presentation on April 15 (click link).
