HIMSS Pop Health Forum: Call for Speaking Proposals is Open
HIMSS is accepting topic and speaker proposals for the Apr. 3-4 Pop Health Forum in Boston. This is a how-to focused event for healthcare payers and providers. Case studies are a priority. Proposal submission deadline Friday, Jan. 13, by 5 p.m. Proposals should address one or more of the four cornerstones of population health, data and analytics, chronic care management, care coordination, patient engagement and experience and reimbursement. Other topics relevant to achieving population health also will be considered.

HIMSS Healthcare & Cross-Sector Cybersecurity Report for January 2017
HIMSS just published the January 2017 issue of the HIMSS Healthcare & Cross-Sector Cybersecurity Report. Highlights from this report include encryption attacks, destructive malware, ransomware, malware hunting and analysis tools, and more. This report may be freely accessed at http://www.himss.org/cyberreport. The next report will be the February 2017 issue. Reports are published on a monthly basis.

HIMSS17 Interoperability & Health Information Exchange Community Reception

February 2017 Health Story Project Roundtable: C-CDA Documents: Building Blocks for Meaningful Exchange
Feb. 6 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. While C-CDA (Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture) is regularly used in data exchange across the health IT community, the various types of C-CDA documents available for exchange are not well understood. This Roundtable will describe the 12 document types defined in C-CDA, highlight the similarities and differences of the sections within those documents, and show how C-CDA document and section templates can be leveraged as building blocks for more meaningful data exchange.
