Informatics Institute June 3-7, 2017 | Minneapolis, MN
One of four boutique meetings held concurrently during the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) 2017 Summer Meetings & Exhibition, the Informatics Institute (I2) will provide high-quality, advanced programming designed for informaticists to innovate and improve the use of information technology in all patient care settings. Attendees will participate in interactive learning and walk away with practical skills needed to improve efficiencies. Each session in I2 was designed to build upon the previous session with a strong focus on creating value to reduce costs. Participate in the HIMSS 2017 Cybersecurity Survey
Your voice is needed! As part of HIMSS’s ongoing health IT research efforts, we are asking you to share your thoughts on the 2017 HIMSS Cybersecurity Survey, which gauges the perceptions and practices of U.S. healthcare organizations on a number of cybersecurity topics facing the health sector. This year’s survey builds off the baseline cybersecurity posture of healthcare organizations established in previous surveys and explores critical security themes and emerging cybersecurity threats. Continuing our series on the HIMSS Approved Education Partner program, this week we learn more about University of Maryland University College and Premier.

University of Maryland University College
One of three online health care graduate degree programs offered at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC), The Master of Science in Health Informatics Administration (HIMS) degree has a tri-fold approach: Health Care/ Information Technology / Leadership & Management.

Using an applied “hands on” approach, students will develop skills in health care, information technology, leadership and management, health data analytics, finance, legal aspects, coding and reimbursement, ethics, health information systems and technologies, health information management related research methods, health policy and current trends and issues impacting both the profession and health care industry.  Click here to learn more about University of Maryland University College.

Premier’s Annual Breakthroughs Conference is the centerpiece of our efforts to help members improve community health by providing the highest quality care at the lowest cost.
