You've been breached. Now what?
Edelman, the world's largest PR firm, is presenting "Extra, extra! Read all about it! You've been breached, now what?" at the Boston Privacy & Security Forum, Dec. 1-3. In the age of consumerism, a data breach can have repercussions beyond HIPAA: It can blacken a healthcare provider's reputation, tipping the competitive balance and potentially driving customers/patients to another organization. While healthcare security professionals don't lead the communications response when a data breach occurs, they should know what constitutes an appropriate public response. Join Andy Liuzzo and Jeff Picarello, from Edelman, along with over 50 additional speakers for this three-day event. Register now.

Keep the Cash Flowing: RCM Best Practices During an EHR Installation
The expense, complexity, and clinical focus of an EHR installation often means that the transition of a hospital's revenue cycle into the new system is given a low priority. Fred Morgan, Senior Director of Physician Patient Accounting, Mercy Health Services, in Baltimore, Maryland, will discuss at the Atlanta Revenue Cycle Solutions Summit, Dec. 7-8, how by addressing the revenue cycle first, healthcare organizations can establish a performance baseline for claims and revenue management. This presentation will outline the RCM challenges Mercy Health Center encountered as it underwent an aggressive, 12-month installation of an Epic EHR system. Click here to register.
