For the past two weeks, the House of Representatives has voted on over 45 pieces of legislation including a bill that would promote the testing of incentive payments for behavioral health providers to use certified EHR technology and a HIMSS-supported provision promoting electronic prior authorization for covered Medicare Part D drugs, among others.

 
 
 

As VA EHR modernization gets underway, HIMSS will continue to dialogue with, and provide technical assistance to relevant stakeholders within both the VA and Congress.
