tour, you will discover the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase – a premier 34,000-square-foot exhibition that demonstrates the interoperability imperative for connecting health and care. Learn more about innovative solutions as you interact with vendors and kiosks, and exchange ideas and best practices with interoperability experts and other attendees at networking events.

HIMSS Communities Carnival at HIMSS18

 

On Tuesday, March 6, from 5:00-6:30 pm PT, the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian will transform into the HIMSS Communities Carnival showcasing the wonderful opportunities HIMSS offers. This is an excellent time to explore HIMSS offerings by engaging with HIMSS volunteers, community liaisons, and staff who will be spotlighting HIMSS chapters, content, volunteer opportunities, education, career advancement, advocacy, and much more. The Midway will feature carnival games, snacks and beverages, plus fabulous raffle prizes.

 
 
Women in Health IT Roundtable at HIMSS18

Meet with influential women in health information and technology to increase your leadership opportunities and expand your knowledge. International Women’s Day at HIMSS18 on Thursday, March 8th
 

International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Join us on Thursday, March 8 and show your support by wearing purple. HIMSS empowers and enables the advancement of women in health IT information and technology, and the need for more community, resources and recognition of women who have made a difference sector-wide. CONGRATULATIONS!
 
 

Congratulations to Mari Tietze, PhD, RN-BC, FHIMSS, Professor, Texas Woman’s University, TIGER Committee member, TIGER Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) sub-Committee liaison, and her new husband, Steve Love, President and CEO, Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council, on their marriage. They tied the knot on Friday, February 16th. We are simply delighted for Dr. Tietze and wish them both a lifetime of happiness together!
