The  HIMSS Interoperability Showcase  will be traveling to the  PHI Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on August 20-23, 2018. Live demonstrations will highlight how electronic standards‐based health information exchange (HIE) brings critical knowledge to the right people at the right time. This collaboration with NACCHO and the CDC will demonstrate how seamless health information exchange in public health can contribute to improve outcomes, engage consumers, and support regulations. “Leveraging Health Information and Technology to Mitigate the Opioid Crisis: Policy Landscape and Steps Forward”
 

Every day, 115 Americans die from an opioid-related drug overdose. HIMSS recognizes the opioid epidemic requires urgent attention and that health information and technology play a critical role in addressing this crisis.

You are invited to join us on Monday, July 30th from 1:00 – 2:00pm EDT for the second in a series of three webinars hosted by the HIMSS Government Relations team, on “Leveraging Health Information and Technology to Mitigate the Opioid Crisis: Policy Landscape and Steps Forward”. This webinar serves as a follow up to the introductory webinar held on June 4th and will dive deeper into federal and state efforts to address the crisis through information and technology. Speakers will include representatives from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and Washington State Department of Health.
