Digital transformation isn’t coming to healthcare - it’s here. Empowered consumers are going to become the keepers and the key source of health data. The job I see for healthcare providers and MedTech companies is to make sure that digital technologies are applied smartly, so we can see realize the promises of increased operational efficiency and better outcomes. In my opinion the major challenges and at the same time opportunities are data transparency and interoperability, leveraging AI to generate actionable insights from the rising tide of health data, and ensuring privacy and data integrity.
Joerg Aumueller earned his diploma in business administration with the focus on business informatics from Georg-Simon-Ohm University of applied sciences Nuremberg, Germany. Prior to his current role, he held a variety of Healthcare IT related product management positions at Siemens Healthineers and consulting companies.
