Estonian Health and Welfare Information Systems’ Centre
Katrin Reinhold is the Head of the Health and Welfare Information Systems Center in Estonia. The Health and Welfare Information Systems Center is an ICT competence center in the field of health, social security and labour in the administrative area of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Ms Reinhold has a MSc degree in Computer Science from University of Tartu and an Informatics Bachelor of Engineering degree from Tallinn Technical University. Ms Reinhold has been a Director of Information System at the Information System Authority (RIA 2014-2017) where she dealt with the development and management of Estonia’s e-government platform. The Information System Authority is an Estonian governmental agency responsible for developing public IT solutions, including Estonia's e-government infrastructure, coordinating national cyber security and administering IT-related public funds. Ms Reinhold has a wide range of ICT expertise benefiting from having both technology and business background. She has an extensive experience in different management positions in the ICT area both within the private and public sector. Prior to joining RIA, she worked at one of Estonian biggest banks, Swedbank. Between 2007 and 2014 she worked at Swedbank as Business Project Manager of BI Platform (2013-2014), Head of Data Warehouse Delivery Department (2010), Head of Programme Management Department at the Enterprise Data Warehouse Division (2007-2010), Reporting Programme Manager at the Enterprise Data Warehouse Division (2006-2007). Ms Reinhold has also worked at the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, starting in 2003 as a Specialist in Information Systems Development Department and becoming the Head of this Department in 2005. From 2004-2005, she served as Area Manager for Internal Services at the Information Systems Development Department. In addition, she has worked as an information system developer in Estonian Telephone Network Ltd.
