Dr Ritu Sadana leads the WHO Consortium on Metrics and Evidence for Healthy Ageing made up of policy makers, researchers and civil society representatives.  She coordinated the consultation and drafting of the WHO Global Strategy on Ageing and Health (2016-2030) and the preparation of the WHO Baseline Report for the Decade of Healthy Ageing, expected in October 2020.  Ritu previously led the evidence stream of the WHO Commission on Social Determinants of Health, the WHO Health Research Systems Analysis Initiative, and contributed to WHO’s Global Burden of Disease and Health Systems performance framework.  Ritu also worked in the WHO Regional Office for Europe, with its country office in Cambodia, and in the private sector in the United States.  She holds a Doctor of Science degree from Harvard University, serves as an editorial advisor for The Bulletin of the World Health Organization and has over 100 scientific and policy publications.
