Adrian Zai

Dr. Adrian Zai is the Medical Director for Research Informatics at Partners eCare, and the Associate Director of Digital Health Clinical Trials at the Center for Innovation in Digital Healthcare at the Massachusetts General Hospital. In these roles, he is responsible for the governance and operations processes of the research and innovation arm of Partners eCare, the organization that runs Epic, at Partners Healthcare. He is also responsible for helping Massachusetts General Hospital expand its digital health innovation strategy, particularly through digital health clinical trials. Therefore, he is particularly interested in developing a portfolio of strategic vendor-sponsored innovation initiatives with Partners and Mass General Hospital to create a digital health research and innovation factory, with the goal to achieve rapid adoption into clinical care. Dr. Zai received his combined MD/PhD degrees at Boston University School of Medicine, and his MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health. He also completed his internal medicine residency at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, and his medical informatics fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital's Laboratory of Computer Science. He is presently an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, and his research interested lies in population informatics.
