Speakers

Breanna Wong, MBA-HA, MS is the Principal Manager of Product Strategy for Microsoft’s Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) solutions. She has focused on these AI solutions, which automatically document clinical care, since 2020. She has also performed HIPAA, reimbursement, and financial consulting for private practices and ASCs. She also worked for a large healthcare system, with experience running IT project intake, the provider Epic usage coaching program, Epic Community Connect implementations for practices and hospitals, and the affiliate IT program. Passionate about empowering others, she serves as a course developer and adjunct faculty at the University of Denver and MSU and on the boards of the Colorado Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Colorado Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Denver Medical Study Group (DMSG), Colorado Health Administration Alumni Association, and the Cornell Club of Colorado.  She achieved her MBA -Healthcare Administration and MS in Finance from The University of Colorado and triple majored at Cornell University. Ask her about playing D1 volleyball, summiting all of Colorado’s 58 14ers, skiing, travel, mountain biking, or recent reads at your own discretion.

Dr. Dale Gold is a seasoned family medicine practitioner from Littleton, Colorado. With 15 years of clinical experience and dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics, he also serves as the Ambulatory CMIO for the Mountain Region of CommonSpirit Health. Dr. Gold is devoted to implementing AI solutions that streamline healthcare processes, aiming to restore the joy of practicing medicine and alleviate the administrative burdens of electronic healthcare.

Robert Casanova is a seasoned healthcare management consultant, supporting managers operating in hazardous, dynamic, and unpredictable environments. His experience includes the application of the fundamental principles of performance improvement and high reliability implementation for continuous adaptation in complex environments. With many years of working with all levels of management, Robert has developed an appreciation for the chaotic and dynamic environment today’s managers operate in. To support organizations, management needs new tools and approaches to meet new demands as well as the proper application of old established techniques that have become new again. Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Nasson College and his Master of Health Systems from the University of Denver.

Sherri Hess (MS-IS, University of Colorado Denver) BSN, RN, FHIMSS Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, Banner Health – Phoenix, AZ has 30 years in healthcare as a Registered Nurse and 18 as a healthcare IT leader. She serves as the strategic liaison between clinical leaders and IT. She does this by addressing the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, efficient use of health IT in a clinical setting.

Jeff Weide (DBA in Project Management, Walden University) is the Health Informatics Academic Director at University of Denver; he is also a healthcare leader, project manager, and educator that focuses on systems thinking, improvement methodologies, strategic planning, and technological innovation. Jeff’s experience includes health systems (i.e. academic medical centers, community health), government systems (i.e. state public health, DoD/military), and consultation. He also has experience in non-profit boards, IRB reviews, operations management, and compliance.
