TIGER Virtual Learning Environment

Building on its grassroots foundation and community support, the TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) Initiative mission continues to advance through its global outreach and stakeholder adoption. In September 2016, TIGER was co-awarded funding to address the need, development, and deployment of workforce IT skills, competencies, and training programs for trained eHealth workers from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation grant program. The 20-month EU*US eHealth Work Project, spanning from September 2016 to April 2018,  will work to measure, inform, educate and advance development of a skilled eHealth workforce throughout the European Union, United States and globally. The overall project goal is to create a legacy of digitally empowered health care professionals now and in the future. Join us for an exciting update on how the EU*US eHealth Work Project is making eHealth work Trans-Atlantically. Presented by Rachelle Blake, PA, MHA, Founder & CEO, Omni Micro Systems/Omni Med Solutions and Toria Shaw, MSW, Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics, HIMSS North America.
