Dutch humanist scholar Desiderius Erasmus is attributed with saying that prevention is better than cure and nowhere is this principle more relevant than within health and social care. Promotion of healthy lifestyles and the prevention of ill health are the fundamental principles behind public health. In this session experts will explore the digital maturity of public health systems and how digital tools can enable preventive healthcare. What is the role of digital public health in supporting and allowing more efficient identification, preparedness, and preventative care for populations? Speakers will also discuss how technology and more efficient data analysis are driving better health outcomes for citizens. There will be a deep dive into the role of population health management driven by data analytics, including how this enables risk stratification and the identification of vulnerable population groups at risk of disease, with the aim of improving the health of the whole population.
