FIASO, the Italian Federation of Health Authorities and Hospitals, was founded in 1998 to support and promote the strengthening and development of the corporate model in health care as a tool to better respond to the needs of citizens, ensuring the sustainability of the system.

Founded from an initial nucleus of some 30 Aziende Sanitarie, it is now present throughout the country and now associates more than 2/3 of Aziende Sanitarie, ospedalieri and Institutes for Hospitalization and Scientific Care (IRCCS).

FIASO represents and protects the Companies at institutions and decision makers in different contexts, regional, national and international, and supports and promotes the dissemination of managerial culture for the improvement of the quality of services offered to citizens and the sustainability of the NHS.

Over the years, the Federation has gradually developed and consolidated stable relations and relationships of interlocution and collaboration with institutions and agencies of the health service at different levels, national, regional and local. FIASO participates in the main discussion tables on health policy and system governance.
