Interoperability Showcase®

With the EU’s drive towards European Health Data Space (EHDS) and WHO-Europe’s push to increase interoperability, HIMSS, in partnership with IHE Catalyst and the EU IMI project Gravitate-Health, is shining a light on its 2024 European Interoperability Showcase® at HIMSS24 Europe by creating a series of gripping, person-centred demonstrations in a prominent spot within the exhibition floor.

Startup Pitchfest

Startup Pitchfest is back! Our judges will award three European companies of fewer than 50 employees with emerging solutions to genuinely validated, intractable problems faced by health systems and providers. The three categories this year are Delivering Next Generation Clinical Decision Support, Revolutionising Workflows with Automation Innovations and Shaping the Future of Care Beyond Hospital Walls. Don't miss our six finalist pitches on 29 May. 10:00-12:00pm.

European Projects

Visionaries unite to revolutionize EU healthcare. Fostering partnerships between EU-funded projects and HIMSS Communities, we explore digital health innovations. Seven projects will showcase advancements in cybersecurity, chronic condition management, and patient-focused tools, aiming to improve healthcare outcomes: AI4HealthSec, WARIFA, FLUTE, EDiHTA, Gravitate-Health, Label2Enable, and ADLIFE.

28th of May	Norwegian Embassy Reception @ Ambassador’s Residence (Invite Only) The Norwegian Embassy opens the doors of their Ambassador´s Residence for a select group of people to join the evening before the pre-conference day for networking with some drinks and nibbles.
29th of May	Welcome Reception @ La Nuvola, The Concourse Join us for the Welcome Reception at The concourse, right after the Welcome Ceremony. Have a drink with old and new connections and don’t miss a great opportunity to expand your network. Visit Capitolini Museum at Campidoglio and VIP Reception at Terrazza Cafarelli (Invite Only) A visit to the astonishing Capitolini Museums, a group of art and archaeological museums in Piazza del Campidoglio, on top of the Capitoline Hill, in the heart of Rome, followed a reception from the beautiful Terrazza Cafarelli, with high level members of the digital health world and a breathtaking view of Rome. Nordic Community Evening Connecting the Nordic region is one of the most important tasks to have a strong advocacy for a Nordic model for e-health, building on the principles of human-centered and trustworthy digital health. 30th of May	Exhibition Reception @ La Nuvola, Expo hall Are you ready to step into a world of innovation, networking, and inspiration? Join us for drinks at the Exhibition Floor Reception! Finnish Embassy Reception @ Ambassador’s Residence (Invite Only) Distinguished guests, diplomats, and connoisseurs of sophistication, mark your calendars! The Finnish Embassy is hosting a VIP reception at the Ambassador´s Residence. Speaker & EMRAM Awards Reception @ Chalet del lago (Invite Only) All Conference speakers will gather in a networking reception at a beautiful venue by the lake, and during the event will celebrate those hospitals and healthcare systems validated at EMRAM Stages 6 and 7.
31th of May	Hospital Visit @ San Carlo Hospital Strategic Partner GVM Care & Research opens the doors of their San Carlo Hospital, a hospital acquired by the group in 2015, after which has been invested heavily in technological innovation to support its healthcare services.
